Welcome to Binbrook Surgery
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, how you contact your GP surgery will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-face contact where possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus.
Face-to-face appointments are available to all patients, but you will be asked to discuss your conditions over the phone or online first to assess what would be most appropriate for you.
In addition to face-to-face consultations, many GP practices are offering consultations online or over the phone. This can be a convenient and flexible way to receive healthcare but if you would prefer to see a GP or healthcare professional in person then this will be arranged for you.
In line with the hospital we are asking all visitors and patients to wear face coverings when attending the surgery from the 15th June 2020. You can do this with a homemade cloth mask or your own surgical mask. Face coverings should not be used by children under the age of 3 or those who may find it difficult to manage them correctly. For example, primary age children unassisted, or those with respiratory conditions.
Wearing a face covering
A cloth face covering should cover your mouth and nose while allowing you to breathe comfortably. It can be as simple as a scarf or bandana that ties behind the head.
Wash your hands or use hand sanitiser before putting it on and after taking it off. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth at all times and store used face coverings in a plastic bag until you have an opportunity to wash them.
Do not touch the front of the face covering, or the part of the face covering that has been in contact with your mouth and nose. Once removed, make sure you clean any surfaces the face covering has touched.
You should wash a face covering regularly. It can go in with other laundry, using your normal detergent.
When wearing a face covering, take care to tuck away any loose ends.
At the surgery we will have a limited number of face mask that can be provided in emergencies but we request you to attend with your own.

Talk Before You Walk
- Practices are still open and we encourage people to get in touch for any health concerns that cannot be dealt with by the individual, their family or friends, or the local pharmacy.
- If you think you need to see a doctor, nurse, or other health professional, please call the practice to speak to a clinician or use e-consultation via the practice website.
- Please only visit the surgery in person if you have an appointment.
- Routine vaccinations and immunisations are important and are available at the practice.
- Make prescription requests using online systems or via the e-consultation tool.
- If you need to be seen face-to-face then you will be given an appointment to come to the practice and this will be provided in a Covid-safe way.
- These changes are happening to help keep staff and patients safe.
- We want to discourage people from queuing outside a GP practice and waiting in the waiting area, to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
- If you have coronavirus symptoms, DO NOT come into the practice – self isolate and seek help via NHS 111 or 111.nhs.uk
